Our Story

The journey of Pilim

From Humble Beginnings to Innovative Solutions

S-Mobile, the proud parent company of Pilim, began its journey as a solo IT consultancy in January 2018. Fueled by the satisfaction of our clients and their growing needs, the business expanded, necessitating the addition of new team members. However, as we grew, so did the administrative, operational, and compliance burdens.

By 2020, with a team of just four employees, our CEO faced the challenge of managing cash flow, invoicing, VAT returns, pay slips, timesheets, employee holidays and compliance deadlines. We sought an affordable, all-in-one tool to streamline cash flow, HR, and administrative processes. Unfortunately, existing solutions were highly fragmented, each addressing only one domain, and this added to our resource constraints.

Rather than settle for subpar options, we took matters into our own hands. We developed Pilim, a tool specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses like ours. The first version, launched for internal use in January 2021, featured Cash Flow Management and Human Resources Management capabilities. Its impact was immediate and transformative: email exchanges reduced by 90%, deadlines were consistently met, fines became a thing of the past, and our business growth accelerated.

By 2024, S-Mobile had grown to 27 employees, all using Pilim. This success was recognized when we were nominated for the Trends Gazelles 2025 for the Brussels (Belgium) province, an award given to the top 100 medium sized businesses based on growth in added value, staff, and cash flow over the past five years.

In 2025, we launched Pilim as a commercial product to help other businesses facing similar challenges achieve success. Our journey from a small consultancy to an innovative solution provider has been driven by our commitment to efficiency and growth.
